TEACHER EMPOWERMENT: SYSTEMATIC REVIEW

Abstract
Empowerment is associated with the ability to make decisions and the ability to exercise power in
full demonstration of the valid conditions to exercise the assigned activities and those that their
judgment deems necessary to act in an appropriate way, in this sense the person assumes a reflective
critical attitude to make decisions and transform your reality. This construct in the labor field of the
educational professional is closely linked to self-efficacy, insofar as it allows to conceive of himself
as a being capable of exercising his will and with decision-making power that reaffirms his favorable
perception regarding the performance of his functions to define the guideline for the exercise of their
teaching role and how they carry out their teaching processes, as well as the conditions it generates
for learning.The objective of this study was to carry out a systematic review on teacher
empowerment, considering as a starting point the conceptualization of the term teacher
empowerment according to the perspective, as well as analyzing its relevance in the educational field.
In this study, a documentary review is carried out to establish the importance of teacher
empowerment to act with social responsibility and assume their transformative role and incorporate
innovation in the teaching task with critical awareness.
